Rescue and Recovery problem

Hi,

One of my customers have a thinkpad T42 running Windows XP (the preloaded OS).

He has been using Rescue and Recovery for some time now and it has been working perfectly. Today he called me and said that he gets the following error when he tries to backup. (He uses an external USB HD for the backups.)

br_funcs merge returned error 0x54C

I have searched for information everywhere but can't seem to find anything.

Has anyone seen this before?

I haven't seen that error, but then again I haven't used R&R much.

Why don't you try to move the existing backups from the external USB drive to another medium, then reformat the USB drive (or at least delete all the existing backup files on it). Next create a new base backup on the USB drive. It wouldn't hurt to run scandisk on the USB drive - and even a drive testing program.
