Left mouse button brings up context menu

#1 Post by jpeach » Fri Dec 16, 2005 4:46 pm

Hi:

I am having a problem with the left mouse button on my T30. It acts like a left mouse button in almost all applications that do not have explorer integrated into it. However, in IE, Desktop, explorer etc in WinXP SP2 it acts as the right mouse button.

Before you ask, yes, I have checked the mouse settings and the primary keys are not set to swap. I have gone through the mouse settings in great detail and have not seen anything that would account for this. If I install the latest version of UltraNav my computer does not boot. It gives me the login screen. I login and then it just hangs with no response to the keyboard.

I took a drive and put the recovery CDs onto it and it boots and works fine. The mouse driver is UltraNav Ver 6.3.8.6

The only reference to this problem I could find after an long search is:
http://www3.usenetarchive.org/File.asp?service=1812

But there is no solution posted. Does anyone have any ideas. Does anyone have a copy of the UltraNav drivers ver 6.3.8.6 IBM tells me that once they upgrade the driver there is no way to get old versions.... how stupid is that!

Thanks
Peach
