Antivirus problems...
Today I got my T30 from Overstock.com and it was working great...until I tried installing a demo version of Panda Titanium 2006 Antivirus & Antispyware from their site to see if I liked it. Once it was installed, the computer ran very...very slow and the time to get from the login screen to where all of the programs were loaded and the desktop was showing at least tripled. I un-installed the software and everthing is back to normal.
Can someone reccomend a program that will work well with the computer and OS? It has to be easily uninstalled (no norton).
The computer is a T30 running XP Pro with an Intel M Pentium 4 1.6GHz and 256mb ram.
Thanks for any help

BitDefender, but it's not free. The professional client version integrates antivirus, firewall, antispam and antispyware; the standard client version - just antivirus.
I use the standard version - I get automatic updates a few times/day - and it's lighter than NAV. Like Kyocera - I use Microsoft AntiSpyware too.
- BitDefender client standard
- Microsoft AntiSpyware
- SP2's firewall

One alternative to The Beast's Beta anti-spyware is Ad-Aware from Lavasoft.
I played with AVG, too. Nice for the price. Currently I use McAfee VirusScan and Personal Firewall Plus. the PFP is miles ahead of the XP firewall. I got both, with Wireless Home Network Security (which is a mess) for $29 after rebates. YMMV.
