Memory upgrade

#1 Post by deacs10s » Sun Dec 18, 2005 7:23 pm

Hi all!

I just received my Z60m with 512mb of RAM. Will someone please tell me what sort of RAM I need to purchase to add another 512mb of RAM? Also, any recommended memory manufacturers would also be greatly appreciated. I've had good luck with Crucial memory with my prior notebook.

Thanks in advance!

I haven't gotten mine yet - but there was a free upgrade to 1 Gb of RAM it appeared to be 512 Mb DDR2 PC4200 SODIMMs running at 533 mhz

sorry, I'm not the most memory knowledgeable. Do you think this would work? http://www.crucial.com/store/partspecs. ... T6464AC53E

Yes - I believe that's the right one.

A quick follow on: the spec says PC2-4200 533 mhz non-parity dual channel capable 200-pin SODIMM. 256, 512, or 1 gb sizes up to 2 gb total.

Thanks! I ordered the Crucial ram and should receive it some time next week. I'll report back after I install.

Received my crucial ram and installed with no problem. I'll provide an update if the z60m rejects the ram at some later point. Thanks again for your help!
