Disk vendor supplied drive copy programs

#1 Post by RBob » Mon Dec 19, 2005 1:45 pm

After using TrueImage to copy my R51's old drive to a larger faster Hitachi drive, I was surprised to find that both Seagate and Maxtor supply free Windows-based utilities to perform that function.

It looks like they only copy the full drive, and don't do any of the other magic tricks that TrueImage or Ghost can do, but that's enough for many people.

Maxtor's is called "MaxBlast 4 For Windows" and Seagate's is "DiskWizard".
