t42 question

I just ordered t42 2378RGU ($1188+tax cheaper than IBM site).
Does all thinkpad with same part number have same spec? (The store I bought it has not much information on it)

And if anyone have one, could you give me any short review and pros and cons? Also any suggestions for inexpensive ram upgrade for t42 are welcome

OK. it’s not exactly your laptop but close enough. If I want to buy some memory I will go for Samsung but you can buy anything you like,PC 2700,CL 2.5 .

Solan, great link, makes me remember why I bought this thing. The review really covers it well and is very close to my personal experience so far with my t42.

Thanks for the link. It makes me more comfortable for getting my laptop.
And I thinking about getting 2*512MB kingston pc2700 ram from best buy ($49.99). Is 1GB enough for the regular use and coding
