internet question
hi everyone. my home has cable and DSL. If I connect the ethernet port to the cable and also connect to the DSL through wireless at the samw time. which interent will my tp actually use? or both?

AFAIK, it will only use one connection. There is some user control over this in the connections utility, I have mine set to use the fastest which in my case will be the wired at 100 Mb vs. the wireless at 11 Mb.

That really depends on which OS and network access drivers/software you use.
The Windows XP and up by default I believe tries to use the network gateway with the fastest response times. So whichever router you have hooked up to cable or dsl is faster to respond to your computer that one Windows will use.
There's a way to override that with the IBM Access Connections (as Shelby mentioned above).

The one Windows chooses by default, would 'probably' be the fastest connection. However I do know that you can change which one you are using in Windows. While on DSL with my desktop PC, I can choose dial-up, and that now becomes my connection (with noticeably slower speeds). I've done this to test my dial-up connection.
