T43 WiFi?? 2915ABG vs. 11a/b/g Wi-Fi Wireless II vs. 2200BG?
When building the T43 you have the choice of:
Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG
ThinkPad 11a/b/g Wi-Fi Wireless II
Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG
What is the difference and which do you recommend??
Thanks,
Trapper

Well, I can't "recommend" one over the other as I have not tried them out one by one; but I have the Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG and it works fine just about all the time.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

Can you explain what the *differences* are? Is there any pro/cons to be considered when choosing between these?
Trapper
The 2915abg supports three different protocols: 802.11a, 802.11b, & 802.11g. The 2200bg supports two different protocols: 802.11b & 802.11g. That's the main difference between the two. Note that 802.11a is not as common as the other two. a & g are somewhat faster than b.

I've had them all. Switched from Intel 2915 to the IBM a/b/g recently (so I can get F****n-F5 working in Windows 2003).
Just for the sake of compatibility my advice would be to get one of the a-supporting cards -- either Intel 2915 or IBM a/b/g, even if it's 10-15 bucks more.
My personal preference would be an IBM card.
