Well, here are pics of my "new" thinkpad, a 755Cs

The machine looks so good especially in the 1st picture.

Yes, it seems to be in perfect condition, because I painted the cover in black, (it wasn't in very good condition).

Now, I must install Windows, but the FDD seems to be dead, and I try to boot with the HDD...

I have an error 00174 when I plug the HDD. If someone knows the meaning of this...

First post ever.
I just pulled out my heirloom 755C (brother bought it new, handed it down to my niece, now I've had it for a couple of years) and started using it frequently Any great recommendations for new batteries? It keeps resetting itself. And, do you think I could ever put in a wireless card?
Okay, yeah, I'm pretty ignorant about all this. But I do love my thinkpad, and I'm awfully glad I found this message board!
