#1 Post by ThinkAgain » Tue Dec 27, 2005 1:37 pm

Will a standard 56K V.90 or V.92 PCMCIA Type II Card Modem work OK
with a ThinkPad 380Z?

I once owned a 380XD, and had several different 56k modems in it with no issues. Some of these came as used in other machines, and the reason I tried them, is that I was then on a poor phone line. It was an effort to get the best transfer speed. I've forgotten what all, one was a Motorola 56k, something surfer, one was IBM, and I've forgotten what else.
