T30 still wont boot.

Just wondering if sitting my thinkpad on top of a home theatre sub woofer could be causing boot up problems described in my Dec. 27 post?

Subwoofers and large speakers effect computers and computer monitors because of the high powered magnets they house.

With laptops, I dont think it effects the screen being that it is LCD however the harddrives are still harddrives despite their size.

A visit with a high powered magnet will for sure leave your harddrive (and hopefully nothing else), totally screwed.

If its the far left light that does nothing, I can assume that it is the harddrive, find a used computer store with a working 2 gig or somthing to test this theory before buying a decent replacment.
