having issues displaying video when laptop is connected 2 TV
Hello, I have my T-42 connected via S video cable to my television...it shows everything on the TV except for video...for example if i'm playing something in windows media player it will just show a black area in the windows media player box on the Television yet will show the movie on the laptop, even though everythin else on the computer screen displays on the TV except for the video portion...
I did try function F4 but it just made my laptop screen black and the same thing still was happening on the television.
however, for some strange reason, MP4 video files will show on the TV, however, DVD videos, all windows media files, divx, avi, real player will not show up
any suggestions?
I'm new to laptops, i'm pretty sure these all come with the same graphics cards but here it is in case you need it: ATI mobility Radeon 7500
Thank you

Been there, done that.
I thought that the version of WinDVD that IBM supplied on my T42 was crippled.
No such case. You have to do the following.....
Right click on an open area of the desktop, choose Properties > Settings > Advanced > Overlay tab > Theater mode options... button > under "Overlay Display Mode", choose "Theater mode" or "Same on all".

I have the ATI Radeon 9000. I believe the Overlay tab should be included with ATI's driver. AFAIK, the 7500 and 9000 use the same driver.
See if the tip in the following thread will help.
