Does it work & just change the drivers, etc, or is it an instant blue screen?

The reason I ask is that I want to move from a T42 to an X32 however I work remotely and a need to be a member of a domain as part of my VPN setup. If I install it at home from scratch I would need to physically fly to the office (about 5,000 miles away!) to join the flaming domain! D'oh!

I heard that going from a T42 to a X31 should work (same chipset..)

And an X32 isn't better then a X31 so I would say yes.
Never tried tough.

(but I think it will work, the only big change will be the change in Graphics card... but they are both ati, so that should go well :))

Works fine, for the most part. I took the HD from a T42p and put into an X32 and everything worked fine, though I had to reinstall the wireless and could never get Access Connections or the FN+F5 key combination to work (had to use Windows for WiFi).
