Help deleting Rapid Restore Ultra Backup files

#1 Post by lrtrotter » Mon Jan 02, 2006 4:18 pm

TP R51 1830-xx8
Win XP Pro
Rapid Restore Ultra 4.0

I've been using RR Ultra to create backups and need help deleting several of the unneeded backup files to free up disk space.

I searched Levovo Support and found this reference, but cannot figure out where, or how, to select the files for deletion as suggested.

Solution
This condition can be solved by resetting all backups. This can be done by unchecking all destinations and selecting to delete the backups. This should only be done if you will not need to restore the computer to one of these backups.

What they are trying to tell you is to start Rapid Restore Ultra 4.0. While in the program go to where you chose to store the backups (which drive) and uncheck this destination (or drive). Next choose to delete the backups from within the program.

Since I no longer have Rapid Restore Ultra 4.0 on my ThinkPad, I can't give you more specific information. I never made any backups with Rapid Restore Ultra 4.0 to later delete.
