Hex Edit a TransNote/X20 BIOS?

#1 Post by epbrown » Wed Jan 04, 2006 3:51 am

As most of us know, you can edit the BIOS of the 600 to disable the onboard RAM, enabling the use of 2 256MB chips to get to 512MB as the chipset supports. The TransNote is of a similar generation and would also support 512MB on the board if the 64MB on it could be disabled. On the 600E/X, you go into Easy Setup, type Ctrl+D to bring up the hex editor, and change the appropriate fields. The t-note doesn't use Easy Setup - anyone know what the magic keys are?
