#1 Post by Drewski » Thu Jan 05, 2006 10:15 pm

I need RAM for my 600X 2645-3EU. If you have any PM me. Also, I have new RAM that I bought by accident when I was trying to by RAM for this computer. It is Samsung PC2700S 512MB DDR CL2.5. If you'd like to trade me for it, or would like to buy it, I really need to get rid of it just PM me. If you have any questions just PM me.

I assume that you mean two 256mb chips, as the 600X can take up to 512mb plus the 64mb on board, for a total of 576mb.

Remember that the two 256mb sticks need to be low density PC100 sticks with 16 chips (8 on each side).

Yeah I meant the 576 max, but I will keep low density in mind when buying it. I really don't want to mess up again. :S

The cheapest I've seen new memory for the 600X is $64 from Kahlon.com. I'm a happy customer (of Kahlon, not that particular part).

I've also had luck with a local laptop repair shop who sold me two used sticks for $45 each, so you might want to call around locally, wherever that is.
