max size HD for T42/T43?

#1 Post by kenw232 » Sat Jan 07, 2006 12:43 am

I want to get a T42 or T43 and replace the HD with the largest HD possible. Does anyone know if they can take a 100MB HD? or even larger?

Thanks.

You can get a 120GB drive. Be sure to read about a problem that Thinkpads have with non IBM drives here first

That problem, the 2010 Error, is only present on T43 systems as far as I know; check the sticky thread here for more info

Some new HDDs work with no 2010 Error thrown, there is also a BIOS Update that gets rid of the Error without the beep. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
