I had an a22m 2628-PTU, the power system went bad, (couldn't charge the battery anymore, couldn't connect to AC) so i bought a new undercarriage from ebay ($60). this one turned out to be a 2628-STU. I transferred all the components over and swapped the LCD, but nothing appears on the screen. I can boot to an external monitor and the "Displays" tab on the ATI control panel reports "not connected" for the LCD panel.
Is a PTU monitor incompatible with an STU motherboard?
As i understand it, the PTU is an IBM with an xga screen while the SUT is a Lenovo with an sxga screen, but i could be wrong. Anyone have any insight?
What exactly is an "inverter cable"? i slightly opened the lcd casing and saw a ribbon cable connected at 2 places, is that it?
Thanks!
