Guide on Updating Pre Desktop Area/Hidden Partition

Hey guys, is there any guide which teaches how to update those drivers in the Pre Desktop Area/Hidden Partition in IBM thinkpad? This may sound a little dumb but well, if i ask i'll be dumb for 5mins, if i don't ask i'll be dumb forever. haha thanks..

The only update that I am aware of that updates the Pre Desktop Area/Hidden area is ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery. You can download version 3 from IBM's site.

Maybe the above is not what you are looking for. What exactly do you need or want to do, and why?
