Saving to "remote" hard drive
Saving to "remote" hard drive
My think pad laptop has only about 1Gb of memory left... I wanted to be able to save files to my downstairs computer which has about 40Gb left. I have already figured out how to access my files that are on that hard drive, such as music. But I also want to be able to save files to the hard drive. When I try to save any file to it from my thinkpad it says access denied, or that it may be write protected. Does anyone know how to make it so I can save files to my other computers hard drive from my thinkpad?b
To save files from the thinkpad to the downstairs computer you will have to set the permissions on the shared resource(s) on the downstairs computer to allow users to either "change" or have "full control" of the shared resources.
Found in the "sharing" tab when you right click the shared resourse and select "properties"
