Help - Bios Clock battery for Transnote

#1 Post by rallen » Sun Jan 08, 2006 1:31 pm

My Transnote no longer keeps the time and date. I'm sure that the battery must have died. Anyone here know where it is, and where to get a new one? Even the part number would be helpful.

Thanks,

Try using your Hardware Maintenance Manual, it will not only give you the part number and location, but it will show you how to remove it:

Transnote Bios Battery

#3 Post by rallen » Sun Jan 08, 2006 10:01 pm

Thanks tfflivemb2, That did help. I don't think my Transnote came with this PDF file or Manual. I did locate a tutorial someone posted online showing how to repair your old bios battery with watch batteries that can purchased at Walgreens. Very Cool!! I'll share with anyone who needs it. Just send me an email address at rich@artzdesign.com.
