has anyone tried to setup R50e (or any similar thinkpad) to use two screens (native and an external one) side by side on linux?
I'm desperately trying to make this work, but with no success. I followed various instructions on setting up Xinerama, but with no success: any changes to xorg.conf either had no effect or made X unstable.
I'm using Mandriva, but if this feature works smoothly with any other distro - I'll be ready to switch to it.
Thank you
dual (side-by-side) screens on R50e - has someone tried?
