Purchasing IBM OFFICIAL warranty for a refurbished item

Hello there,

Does anybody know if IBM/Lenovo allows purchasing of OFFICIAL warranty for S-Claim refurbished items? I am interested in one of those and getting a couple of years of IBM official warranty would let me safer ...

Any input would be HIGHLY appreciated :)

If you start here http://www-132.ibm.com/content/home/sto ... sonal.html and keep clicking for warranty you eventually end up with a large pdf document that describes "Post-warranty maintenance agreement or warranty service upgrade"(s)

The document contains the following: "Service is only available for non-refurbished machines released and purchased in the United States.".

Apparently, the answer to your question is "No"

I also don't thin that is possible.
But you could get some warranty from a third-party.
