DEVA dongles - 770

#1 Post by Red Flag » Fri Jan 13, 2006 8:54 pm

Hey all,

I have the DEVA working on my system, but it came without any dongles. Does anyone know if the dongles are of a proprietary IBM type, or is it possible to get them more easily than that? I'd like to find one or two and would welcome any advice.

Cheers!

Andrew

They are proprietary but I think they are similar to the video dongles used for the IBM ThinkPad 755CD and the 760's with video features.

I can't remember where I saw it, even though it was just the other day, but I came across a schematic online. It was very simple, however, there might be a problem getting the connectors. I think I Googled "thinkpad schematics."

I posted a free dongle for the 755/760 on the for sale forum. I'm pretty sure that it's the same part as used on the 600 and 770 but I'm not totally sure on that so you'll have to find out yourself. The first reply I get on the thread I posted in the for sale forum for the video cable gets it, free of charge.
