Hi~
I have been a user of a T41p but traded for a X41...
Man it slow compared to the T41p but the size and portablility is making it up...
I know this is a silly question but will the 1GB extra memory give me a hugh speed boost openning and viewing web pages, watching streaming videos and multitasking such as photoshop and internet etc...
And finally...is 4200rpm the fast for a 1.8" hard drive?
Best wishes to the forum users...

If I am not using VMware (VM's need big gobs of ram), then everything I do runs well within 512Mb and more would not be of any benefit. What you are seeing is a deathly slow hard drive. I have tried enough combinations to know that 7200-rpm (not available to your X) makes a big, big difference. The only drive near to this is an 80Gb or better (and newer) 5400-rpm drive. ... JD Hurst
