R51 w/ IBM a/b/g Wireless Radio - WPA & Radio Off Issues

Hi all,

I've got a co-worker with an R51 (1830-AKU) and the IBM a/b/g wireless card. I'm trying to associate this with a Linksys BEFW11S4 802.11b router.

The ThinkPad is running the latest IBM Wireless Drivers (4.1.102.1095), Access Connections (4.01), and HotKey Features (1.20.0509). The Linksys is running the latest firmware (1.52.02).

Issue #1: When I turn on WPA (Pre-Shared Key) on the Linksys, the R51 refuses to associate with the access point. I've ensured that the WPA Keys are identical and have changed them to something different. However, it refuses to associate. When I turn off WPA, I can associate and get an IP address.

Issue #2: The Wireless Radio keeps turning off at random. I'm using Windows Zero Wireless Configuration to manage the wireless connections. I've changed to Access Connections as well, but the radio still keeps turning off.

Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
