PC100 in X30 is possible?

#1 Post by jcan » Tue Jan 17, 2006 1:37 pm

Hi, I'm getting a used X30 soon.
I'm considering to upgrade 256MB memory to 512MB
using my pc100 256MB Ram which was for X20.
Is it possible to use pc100 memory module on X30?
I know that X30 is for pc133, but if I can use pc100 on X30,
I'd like to do. Thanks.

No.
"An atheist is just somebody who feels about Yahweh the way any decent Christian feels about Thor or Baal or the golden calf. As has been said before, we are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further."

jcan, a pc133 256MB chip runs about $50 on eBay, while your pc100 one will fetch more than that due to low supply and high demand on the FS boards or eBay. I paid $75 for the one in my t-note just a couple of months ago. When your new X30 arrives, just sell the old chip and use the money to get a new one or even upgrade for a bit more.
