ThinkVantage Productivity Centre - Views? Uninstall probs?

VIEWS. I installed the Lenovo Think Vantage Productivity Centre (TVPSC)on my X40 believing it would be something useful. Bad move! As far as I can tell it just adds an extra layer of links or short cuts to features I knew about anyway.
It also hi-jacked the button Access IBM which now jumps to the TVPC, but TVPC does not link to Rescue and Restore, so for this service I have to use the tedious route of Programs/Accessories/System tools/System restore. Frankly, Productivity Centre sucks.

Attempts to get rid of TVPSC ?
I tried uninstall via the Lenovo Software Installer, this uninstalled two packages Productivity Center Suplement for ThinkPad and then the TVPC.
After reboot, I had lost all use of the Access IBM button.
Also all attempts to use System Restore to recover to a point before installing TVPC failed.
So I reinstalled TVPC and my machine seems to be working OK.

How do I get back to my state before TV Productivity Center ?

All thoughts appreciated.
