Monitor Color Settings

#1 Post by NeilB » Thu Jan 19, 2006 10:57 pm

I have a Z60M 2529EFU. The default setting under monitor properties is medium (16 but). If I set it to high - 32 bit, is there any drawback?

Thanks!

You get slower video speed. Do you have a 24-bit option?

Only 16 and 32 bit. But I have the ATI X600 video card. Will my video really be slow?

It will be slower than at 16-bit, but unless you're into serious gaming, you may not notice much difference. If it were me, I definitely would prefer 32-bit over 16-bit. At 16-bit color, you will see "banding" in colors which are supposed to be "smooth."
