Single Rank vs Double Rank RAM

Hi, I plan on upgrading my T41P and I was wondering if it matters whether I use Single Rank or Double Rank RAM.
I couldn't find any information whether the Samsung Modules that my laptop came with is double or single.

Also, since we're on the topic.. is there any difference performance wise?

Well .. I guess you just have to look for 200 pin SO-DIMM PC2700 CAS 2.5

Then you should be able to run smoothly.
