Battery Life on t40

How long is everyone able to use their t40 without the adapter? Seems my battery life is around 2 and a half 3 hours. This is in the word processing/e-mail setting. anyone have any other good settings?

If you set your power settings to Super Power Saver, you should get closer to 4 hours. The only thing with this setting is that the screen may be a little dim but usable. The processor will slow down but you should not notice it if you are doing word processing.

I get about 2.5-3 hours on mine, holds 36Wh.

ok good....i saw some people saying 4-5 hours on t40's. wasn't sure if that was possible.

Sure it is, with the 9cell or with ultrabay battery.

4+ hours is possible even on t42 with 6cell battery.

I was getting 4.5 hours when my battery was new, but that was almost 3 years ago. Now I'm lucky to get 2-2.5 hours as my battery has degraded to 26 Watt*Hrs.
