Thinkpad 510CS, general ques

#1 Post by 440roadrunner » Sun Jan 22, 2006 12:17 am

I just acquired a 510CS, fairly complete, with the add on adaptor and floppy, and it does work

The display is kind 'o dim--is there a software utility for adjusting?

I've found this:

http://greyghost.dyndns.org/pccbbs/mobiles/

anyone else know of a site for downloads/manuals/utilities?

Unfortunately, it boots with an error telling me the trackpoint failed, so I guess Windows 3x might be a little tricky. I also need to reconfigure himem.sys

any other helpful hints. This is a cute little guy, sorta the fore-runner to the Workpad, I guess.

I also have a 510cs. You have to hit func q(brightness up)
A(brightness down) w(contrast up) s(contrast up)

I also have the HMM manuals somewhere. I got them from another user on these forums.

If only my 510cs still worked.......
IBM Thinkpad 510CS(not working)
IBM Thinkpad 500
