Hi,
This might be the most naive or maybe just unusual question, as I have never ever seen it written about anywhere, but it's something that I've wondered about since I started computing. I don't even know how to explain it except...what do you call it when you have to push the mouse around in circles to get it to a position so that you can 'reach' the'X' to close a window or a link to open it, or reach anything to click on it? Sometimes I'm sitting in a small area where there's not much room to do this , not even large enough to have a mousepad. Is there any trick to this operation?
If I bought a Bluetooth mouse, the Logitech270 that just came out, would I still need to push it around like this, and why is that so if it's laser or optical and no ball on the bottom?
Thanks for your help,
Sandra
Mouse affect on cursor
I'm not certain I understand your question but I think you may be talking about "PointerSpeed." You set this in the "Pointer Options" tab of mouse properties found in your Control Panel. The "faster" you set it, the farther the cursor moves with the same amount of mouse motion. Being you have an aftermarket mouse, it may have its' own properties program.

Not quite sure I understand; it this related to losing track of the pointer and moving it in circles so you can then see where it is? Well, there is an option that will hilight the curpsor upon the Ctrl key being pressed, you can also give the pointer trails.

Mouse affect on cursor
Hi LtTPfan,
Yes, you did understand my question correctly; I changed the setting for the pointer to a little faster, and you were right, it did give the pointer more scope and 'reachability', if that's a word. I think that's my problem solved.
Hi christopher_wolf,
That was helpful to have that cntrl function to find the cursor. Sometimes it does get lost.
Thanks to you both for your help,
Sand
