Thank you all for the detailed information you provide on every conceivable topic. I had been lurking for the past week before ordering my laptop tuesday night. Upon checkout, the IBM email told me it wouldn't ship until Aug. 5. Well what a splendid bed-time surprise to recieve an order shipment notification for a certain 2379-DXU with my name on it! Again, thanks for all the info.

IBM tends to be on the conservative side. I order on a Tuesday, got it on Friday that same week. And it was also 2-4 weeks when I ordered it.
