I'm trying to use the partitioning tool that comes on the Ubuntu installer disc to resize my main partition from 55gb to 45gb. Everytime I try to do this through the guided partitioning tool, it says that it fails and that I have to do it manually. When I try to do it manually, the size of the partition does not change.
I've turned the security chip off, but that doesn't help. Do I need to use a different tool or what?
I'm having problems repartitioning the HD in my T42.
