#1 Post by sage529 » Fri Jul 16, 2004 9:08 am

my sister's mobo is messed up... powers on for a split second and then turns off, even if plugged in. Took it to a ibm service center, says theres a faulty connection to the power on the mobo, need to replace. quoting $400... anyone know where i can get one cheaper? looked on froogle, ebay, the usual. Don't have machine number because we left the r31 at the shop

So they said you need a new motherboard? If so, I can look around for a good price, just post the model number of your sister's R31.

Edit: Okay, I just read your post again. What CPU does it have?

Is it an IBM service? I would complain, and ask them to repair it for free, since you had to wait so long.
