z60m - Actual weight from someone who owns one?

#1 Post by willgriam » Thu Jan 26, 2006 12:22 am

I have a z60m on order and the Sales Rep reported a 6.2lb base weight. Could someone who has one post the actual (or as close as you can figure) weight of one?

Prefer non-titanium lid model with 6-cell battery.

Thanks!

I just weighed one with the 6 cell battery and non-titanium lid and its coming in at exactly 3kg (these were just digital bathroom scales - nothing too precise) which would equate to about 6.6lbs - obviously this is going to vary from model to model.

Thanks! I really appreciate that. It makes me feel better about my purchase (and waiting on it for the next few weeks :-)

I was torn between the z60m and t43, as it seems a lot of people are. I can certainly get a t43 quicker!

I thought 7 lbs would drive me nuts.
It doesn't. But lighter is nicer.
Not bad either way
