Performance: 512MB 1GH T22 vs 256MB 1.13GH T23?

OK, turns out one of my 128MB PC100 sticks will work in the T23, giving me 256MB there for now.

So will the faster bus and ATA interface give a performance advantage over the T22 despite the lesser amount of memory in the T23? (5200 RPM drive in each machine, XP Pro on each)

Hmmm....now you are really getting into the grey area here.

I think at this point, you should just try using them side by side and see which one you prefer....or both...thats called multi-tasking right?

I'd venture to say you're splitting hairs, however, with one application open (like IE, Word or Quicken), the T23 should be faster. With multiple apps or a memory intensive app. like Photoshop, you'll want the memory, thus the T22 will perform better.

Go for another 512MB in the T23 and no contest.

Given equal amounts of RAM the T23 should easily outpace the T22.

What is the size performace sweet spot fo the T23? Im running XP pro and use it for general computing, web brousing and navagation with street atlas and a gps. I currently have 384mb. Would I really see much gain if I went to 512mb?
