Have a T43 2686 DFU.
I was having a problem get a wireless connection when I temporarily disabled WEP security so visiting family members could use it. Had no problem getting a wireless connection when security was enabled.
This seemed odd?
IBM Tech support recommended deleting IBMs wireless access and using windows. Tech had me selectively delete Access IBM. But ended up that when I press Access IBM I get nothing so everything must have been deleted?. I've been using Thinkpad Configuration since then.
I'm satisfied with Windows wireless access as all I use it for is to link up my laptop at home and on the road several times a year.
Question is (finally); Does Thinkpad Confiuration serve the same purpose as Access IBM? And/or what am I missing not being able to use the Access IBM button? Question is looking beyond wireless connectivity.
Thanks
Access IBM Tab Disabled
