Turning bluetooth off results in a high pitched noise.

#1 Post by Cache » Wed Feb 01, 2006 7:42 pm

I have internal bluetooth on my T43. When I am using the computer on battery and have bluetooth on there is just the fan and HD noise. However, as soon as I turn bluetooth off a high pitched noise starts that seems to come from around the top of the keyboard. If I toggle bluetooth back on it immediately stops. Does anyone know if/how it is possible to get rid of this?

Check out this thread:

I "solved" it by starting up my media player (mplayerc.exe) with an mp3, then clicking play followed by pause.

YMMV

I suspect the "fix" I suggest there might also solve your problem.

If I remember correctly, on the laptop I've been exploring the described issue on to the fullest, turning bluetooth on and off did make a (temporary) difference.

Best regards,
