Any Atheros chip will work. Any Orinoco / Prism chip will work. The Intel (Centrino) IPW2200 works very well. I have an IPW2100 -- the 802.11b version -- and it works like a champion. 2.6.15 kernels support all these chips.

The 2915ABG Intel also works flawlessly; 2.6.10 Kernel and up. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

Atheros chips work well with SuSE 10.0 Eval (do not use the open source version from opensuse that does not include non-GPL software - and the atheros driver is non GPL ).

Long story short, the version from novell.com will work with Atheros cards but the one from opensuse.org will not (out of the box).
