#1 Post by Billlllll_345 » Fri Feb 03, 2006 2:59 pm

Hello,

Does anyone know if I can take out the hard drive of a T30 and put it into a T42?

Thanks
Bill

Yes, I took the 7k60 from my T23 and put it in my T42. I'm not sure how Windows will react to this but physically it will fit and work.
T60 2623-D7U, 3 GB Ram.
Dual boot XP and Linux Mint.

Perfect question for me since I have both, I can't take the HD's out and switch them the machine will either say no OS found or boot to the BSOD.

You can like carbon said use the drive in the other machine but will have to reformat.
