Where to buy quality power cord for 600X?

Older ThinkPads.. from the 600, the 7xx, the iSeries, 300, 500, the Transnote and, of course, the 701

Where to buy quality power cord for 600X?

Though I need only a power cord I ordered both the adaptor and power cord for the 600x form simple micro. It is a piece of junk. The power cord isn't even 3 prong an I strongly suspect the thing will not last beyonhd the 6 months they warranty it. The adaptor gets incredibly hot.

So I want to geyt just a new paoer cord. I tried on Lenovo's site with no luck.

I just don't know how to determine what I am getting is of quality.

I can't return the simple micro deal because they charge $40 to return (return fee and restocking fee) + shipping and the thing only cost $35. So I am out and screwed.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm sure that you can either find a cord on eBay or you could also try asking around the "For Sale" forum on this messageboard. Just about any power cord with the yellow barrel tip from a newer ThinkPad should work and they show up on the "For Sale" forum every now and then.

Problem with e-bay is a question of quality... I searched through there.. and there is not a clue as to what the stuff is made of, is it shielded, etc...

This was this best seller I found on e0bay for selling this product:

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-3-Prong-AC-Lapt ... otohosting With shipping it comes out to $5.00

These are the other two I was thinking off:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007O ... 4?n=172282

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00023 ... oding=UTF8

The latter has a lifetime warranty and the first one at amazon.... I am tryin got find out form the reseller if the courd is shielded and what hte warranty is... it is the one that appeals the most....

I indeed bought one from him for much less than $10 shipped and it is identical to my original IBM powercord. He was not certain if it was OEM but I am pretty positive it is... plus he got it too me very fast.
