Mint condition Thinkpad T42, >1 year warranty
from dmichael

which arrived quickly and exactly as described --- in like-new condition.

the machine and transaction were perfect.

Thanks, Michael!

Great experience buying a T42p system board from Brad

#932 Post by chansonbleu » Mon Mar 10, 2008 1:43 pm

Just wanted to give a big thanks to Brad for his help in getting a new system board for my T42p a little while ago. I finally got a chance to put the machine back together this weekend, and after a little trial and error, it is now set up as my main home machine. I also bought some thermal compound from him, and he was kind enough to include some cleaning solutions to remove the old thermal paste, which was a big help in getting proper contact between the fan and the CPU. Overall, this was a completely professional experience, and I would not hesitate to buy from Brad again. Much appreciated!

Cheers,

Pete

Heres a big thanks

So, to paulyosh for the wicked awesome T43, just as described in this thread seems to work great, all specs as promised and in just the condition as described. Nice deal, easy trade (managed to do a local pickup since we were only about 15 miles from each other but pass within .5 miles on the ways to work)

Here is the link to the unit I bought,

http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=58128

Again, everything was proper, perfect working order and couldn't be happier with the purchase.

thanks Paul

I purchased two X40 batteries from henrycc, and the transaction went wonderfully. I paid on a Sat., and the goods were in my hot little hands by Weds., coast-to-coast.

carl3 Excellent Seller

#937 Post by emtee3511 » Fri Mar 14, 2008 1:40 am

I purchased the "X41 w/X4 base, new 8-cell Lenovo battery, warranty" from carl3, and the transaction could not have gone smoother.

I am new on these forums, and was a little unsure of the process. The X41 was exactly as stated in Carl's post, except it is in even better condition than described (the small scratches would not have been listed by most sellers, and are barely noticable.)

Because I am definitely not a "techie", and asked for help, Carl took extra time after wiping and reformatting, to download current updates, assuring this newbie I would have no issues on receiving the machine.

Shipping was fast (received machine about 5 days after mailing USPS money order) -- could not have been a better transaction. Thanks carl3!

Positive feedback for Gripcon.
While the transaction went a bit south (Thanks USPS for the misdirected mail), communication was constant, and payment was quick once I convinced him I wasn't in jail.

I'd buy/sell with him any day.

I wanted to deliver a few good words about aaa. I just came back from vacation and opened up his package - an almost new X31. The item was packaged VERY well. Thank you!

Also, while not a member, I wanted to thank Hammerhead Tech for delivering to me an almost new keyboard for my X22. Thank you and thanks to Doug (phool@round) for recommending them to me.

I've just completed a deal with Henrycc and have nothing but highest praise for this fine gentleman and forum member.

The whole coast-to-coast swap between us has taken only five days, and his machines were at least as described, and honestly better than that.

If you've never dealt with Henry, take my word for it, it's a pleasure that I'd be eager to repeat any day of the week.

Thanks again, Brad. I would do business with you again without hesitation.

An excellent transaction with sendai. He sent his dead T43 for motherboard replacement. Fortunately reports of the ThinkPad's demise were greatly exaggerated. It worked right out of the shipping box. Ran it all weekend with no trouble and sent it back on Monday with a spare adapter just in case.

Would recommend without hesitation. Would welcome another opportunity to be of assistance anytime.
