R40 Type-2723-6xu Use PC2100 and PC2700?

I was wondering if the R40 is like some other thinkpads that are compatable with PC2100 and PC2700 RAM. I realize PC2700 will run at the same speed as PC2100. I did not see this option listed on IBMs website so I thought I'd ask here.
IBM X31 P M 1.4GHz, 1024MB RAM, 40GB 4200rpm HDD,1Gb Ethernet, IBM 802.11a/b wireless, Bluetooth

I never saw a board refusing to take PC2700 RAM and run it at PC2100 speed. Chances are it will work.
