i know cheap flash HDD's are still years off, but when they release a cheap 16 or 24GB one i want one and now the X series uses 2.5" hdd's universally so lenevo probably wont release 1.8" flash drives.

Mmmm, the 2.5" HDDs are the same ones that have been used in the T Series Thinkpads and other laptops quite succesfully for a long time now; they could always come up with an Ultrabay flash HDD. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

I think a flash drive for 1.8" _will_ come, though lenovo might not create one. Other ultraportable laptops still use 1.8" and would greatly benefit from using flashdrive, both in batterylife and in reliability.

So the best bet would be a 3rd party manufacturer. I, myself is looking for a 1.8" flash to IDE adapter, though no luck.
