I have a T40 that is often connected to an IBM mini dock. The mini dock has a 4 port USB 2 hub built into it. I have an external USB 2 hard drive connected to the mini dock.
Often I get the message in Windows that there is a 'Hi Speed USB device plugged into a non Hi Speed USB port' - or something along those lines.
I don't know why this keeps on happening. I have to reseat the device and reboot to get it to work at the USB 2 speeds again.
Is anyone experienceing the same issues or have any solutions?
Thanks
T40 and IBM Mini Dock
Early versions of XP did not support USB 2.0 Do you get this error when the drive is plugged in directly to you T40's USB ports (while it is in the dock?) Sometimes, USB components work fine with the mobo ports but have problems through a hub.
