Synaptics touchpad

#1 Post by easily_rechargable » Wed Feb 08, 2006 9:16 am

I got my T43p about a week ago and yday my touchpad actin up a litlle.
When I scroll on the right hand side of the pad, it sometimes sticks in scroll mode (it doesn't stop crossing).

I don't like it... but if it's a general thing I'll learn to live with it.
Is it perhaps a software error?

ive seen it do things like continuing to scroll to the bottom of the page if you scroll down too fast with the touchpad.

have you looked at the settings? I belive there's a wizard you can download and install.

I have seen that happen on other Synaptics touchpads; most often whilst compute intensive processes were going on in the background and the user did a fast scroll-related movement. To an extent, this can be moderated by the Synaptics Driver. When does this occur? Frequently with large processes?

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

It happens when I scroll trough textfiles/websites, and I don't even have to swipe it quite fast, it does it when I reach the lower half of the scroll side, it just "sticks" I suppose, when I do a lil tap anywhere on the pad, it stops again. I'm not crunching numbers here at the moment, and it doesn't always have this, but I'll check the settings ;)

Found the problem! :D
Quite easy, when you go to the synaptics software you can turn off "autoscroll" It's an option where the software continues to scroll when you touch it for a while so that you can "read whilst not touching at all...

Awfull thing, but I fixed it! :)

btw mine was a T43p model 2669-WF2
