Can anyone recommend a reliable inexpensive vendor? Regular googling yields prices ranging from $70-170!

I bought a battery from one vendors three months ago only to get a battery that would not charge...

Also: any thoughts of 6-cells vs. 9-cells? mainly, how unyieldy does the computer become with the 9 cell battery?

If the machine is less than a year old, you can get it replaced under waranty

As far as the 9cell vs 6cell (size) it all depends on your preference; some people here do not like the extra bulge; I personaly like it, considering I can run the t41 for two nights in a row without charging (school work, on the couch).

The same guy has 6 cells, just bought one for $55 shipped. I bought the 9 cell from him as well, and enjoy over 5 hours on my 14" T42p.
