The battery(FRU P/N: 02K6846) that was included with the unit is playing up, and I was wondering if anyone could help me rectify the problem.
The Battery LED on the ThinkPad is Yellow and NOT flashing. Even though I leave the TP off, but on charge, the LED doesn't change to green, or even blink yellow. Removing the AC power source, while the machine is on, results in an instant power-off.
Under Battery MaxiMiser Gauge (on the taskbar), the battery appears to be at 100%. However, hovering the mouse over the Gauge, it says something different "The battery was completely discharged and needs to be recharged. This may take 10 or more hours."
Looking at "Battery Information" it appears that the battery is completely flat, and requires a full recharge.
"Battery Health" is green, and indicates that "The battery is in good condition"
I have included the information from the "Status Detail" tab, under "Battery Information"
If you need me to include an image(s) of the Battery MaxiMiser Gauge and Battery Information window(s), I'll have no problem doing that.Status: Charging

Thanks, in advance, for you help.
Regards,
Matt.
